Powers/Abilities
Avery is a mutant with density control, but only over his own body. Whether he can expand on that or not- he hasn't experimented. He can lighten the load of his particles, maybe himself extremely light and allowing him the ability to jump very high since he's nearly as substance as air. But he can also make himself extremely dense. Meaning if someone punches him while density is high, they risk injuring themselves more than him. However, the catch is when light density is being used. If struck in light density breakage of bones and injuries will be extremely severe.

History:
Naturally when Avery was born, he was a beautiful baby in the eyes on his parents. As it was, mutant abilities don't surface until children are a little older. When Avery's did, he was climbing up the sides of walls like he'd done it all his life. Like everyone had done it so naturally when they were little. To add to that, when it was bedtime he unnaturally became so heavy his parents couldn't even lift him. They quickly realized their son wasn't ordinary, and by that time he'd already had a younger sister nearly half his age. Worried that his sister would also show signs of mutation, they did their best to keep Avery under the radar. He didn't get sent to school right away, they kept him under their watch at all times. In most senses this would be protective and loving. But for Avery it was more like a monitored prison in home.
When his sister finally came of age and displayed her own powers, Avery watched as they accepted it a little more easily. She was sweeter, and more mild than him, and the fact that she was disabled only seemed to soften them. She didn't get the same prison sentences that he'd received, not that he'd wanted them to, but some bridges had been burned. Avery loved his little sister dearly, but had grown to despise his parents.
As such, when he was a little older he moved in with his aunt, who lived near enough that Avery wouldn't be cut off entirely from his younger sister. But distant enough that he could easily avoid his parents.
